If you are looking for a place to do some enjoyable shooting, try the Litchfield Sportsman’s Club. The Litchfield Sportsman’s Club has a benchrest range out to 200 yards with 5 dedicated benches for left or right hand shooters, an action silhouette pistol and rifle range and 2 trap fields. The firing line is completely covered with an overhanging roof and there are plenty of picnic tables available for spreading out shooting gear and firearms.

The clubhouse is heated/AC, indoor rest room, telephone, fireplace, kitchen, and refrigerators. There is a small pond for those you like to wet a line.

 

 


22 Rimfire Action Shoot

PISTOL COURSE

The course consists of 20 targets. Five ¾ scale chickens at 25 yards, five 3/8 scale boars at 33 yards, five 3/8 scale turkeys at 41 yards and five 3/8 scale rams at 50 yards. This course is shot twice, one slow fire with a 70 second time limit and one rapid fire with a 50 second time limit. Each competitor is allowed 20 shots and each bank of five targets must be cleared before engaging the next bank of targets. Magazine limit of 10 rounds each. One reshoot will be allowed.

This course is shot twice, one slow fire with a 70 second time limit and one rapid fire with a 50 second time limit. Each competitor is allowed 20 shots and each bank of five targets must be cleared before engaging the next bank of targets. Magazine limit of 10 rounds each. One reshoot will be allowed.

 Directions

 

The club is located 1 mile south and 1 mile east of Litchfield, Illinois on Old Litchfield Trail. Exit Interstate 55 at exit 52, which is Litchfield and Illinois Route 16. Head east into Litchfield on Route 16, turn south on State Street, there is a traffic light at the intersection. Go south on State Street for approximately 0.7 mile and then turn left on Water Street. Follow Water Street for approximately 1.2 mile and then turn right on Old Litchfield Trail, You will see a golf course on your left here. Follow Old Litchfield Trail for approximately 1.6 mile and you will see a sign for the Litchfield Sportsman’s Club on your left, turn left onto the gravel lane and through the gate. Follow lane back to clubhouse.
