-  It is Illegal to TEASE, TORMENT, STRIKE, or cause any sort of Bodily Harm to a
    Police K-9
-  If you meet a K-9 Handler that you know and he is out on a call do not approach
    the handler and the dog.    Let them approach you.
-  If he is busy, searching a car, giving orders to his dog or whatever, wait until he/she
    is done. 
-  Never run up or approach the K-9 and Handler abruptly, you could accidentally
    cause a unwanted response from the K-9.    They don't know that your just
    running up to catch up to the person, or your excited to see them. 
    They could respond with snapping and snarling teeth because they feel that your
    "ambushing" them and will re-act accordingly.
-  K-9's respond to what they perceive is a threat.  If you came up and firmly patted
    a Handler on the back as a form of "Congratulations" you could provoke a bite,
    because the dog can see that as, (My handler/master is getting slapped on the back.)
    (This has happened)
-  Never try to pet a Police K-9 without the Handler's Permission.
-  Never approach a Police K-9 without the Handler knowing.
- Never stare at a Police K-9, he will most likely take this as a threat or a Challenge
    and act instinctively by barking and or biting.
-  Never try to take a toy away from a K-9
-  If a K-9 is running loose and comes by you, don't try to pet him, some do not like to
    be petted or touched at all.
-  If a K-9 is running at you full steam!  Stand Still, and don't move!  DO NOT RUN!

Most all Police K-9's come from Germany,  Holland, & Czechelsolvokia.  Why?
Because these dogs have been bred for years for police work and have shown to work out
extremely well in these fields.    I've also been told that over there in these countries they have never had the Heartworm problem like here in the U.S.

The other main thing is that these dogs are bred for their Brains and not for their Beauty.
I'm not saying that all dogs in the U.S. are bred for Beauty and no brains, but most people here in the U.S. are more interested in making money off their dogs for sale and must have those blood lines that produce "Show Quality" in Beauty and Markings.
