William Coulter, Fatally Shot: Sunday, May 8, 1932

Officer William H. Coulter a night policeman for the Litchfield Police Dept. was fatally shot at the front door of a residence while responding to a call of 2 man burglarizing a house.  The subject  fled out the front door where they ran into Officer Coulter and open fired on him.  The two guys disappeared into the night.

Larry Berkshire,  Died,  Sunday  Sept. 22, 1971

Officer Larry Berkshire died early on Sunday Morning the 22nd of Sept, 1971 after being called to located and coral a stray horse found wondering around up on North Douglas.  Officer Berkshire found the horse and was riding him down to the Schalk field where they would temporarily put or coral stray horses until re-claimed, but was thrown from the horse a few blocks later and died due to head injuries.
