Litchfield Police Reserves
The Litchfield Police Reserves is a Volunteer program that operates within the
Litchfield Police Dept. and have been for many years. It is made up of a group of about 10-15 people just like you, Citizens of the City of Litchfield. They have regular jobs that they work 40 hrs a week, but come and volunteer their time a couple of days a week or on the weeks ends.
I believe that they have to put in 24 hours every 3 months.
The Reserves have their own by-laws in conduct, dress and guidelines in which to
follow. They have a squad car to drive and help us by having a extra pair of eyes, ears, and hands when we get overly busy or are tied up on calls or arrests. In order to be a reserve you must fill out a application with the Litchfield Police Reserves which can be obtained by the Reserves Captain, Scott Archibald. They have other ranking positions such a 1 Lt. 2 Sergeants, and several Officers. After you submit a application you will under-go a background check and will be discussed at a meeting, interview, and then voted on the group. I should be getting a picture and list of names in the next few weeks.
